Vernal pools are areas of wetlands that fill annually, yet typically dry out; they provide improvements to water quality, act as a buffer for flood waters, and are a habitat to hundreds of species including the only home for fairy shrimp! Join Elle from Washtenaw Parks and Recreation as she gives an informative talk about the further importance of vernal pools and how their preservation is vital to maintaining a healthy environment.
